A large percentage of Texas water resources are used for the irrigation of residential lawns, municipal landscapes and agriculture. Additionally, the state’s growing population and limited supply of both groundwater and surface water have put a strain on water supplies. Texans must use and manage water wisely. The Water Management programs of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service provide educational opportunities and resources about planning, developing, distributing and managing water resources.
