Water Quality

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service delivers a wide range of programs focusing on Water Quality, including areas such as watershed protection, onsite wastewater treatment systems, private water well testing, and soil nutrient management.  AgriLife Extension has partnered with many local, state and federal agencies and organizations to inform and educate local residents about water-quality concerns in several Texas watersheds.  Potential sources of this water pollution include natural sources, feral hogs, septic systems, livestock, pets, and fertilizer and chemical runoff from cropland, pasture, lawns and landscapes, parks and industrial sites.
